Online Adult & Teen Trauma Therapy in Texas
Helping teens and adults navigate complex trauma and identity to move toward growth and connection with Texas-based online therapy
Hi, I’m Zachary Guerrero, LPC-Associate, supervised by Mark Cagle LPC-S
I help teens and adults navigate the challenges of trauma, identity, and big emotions. My approach is relational, compassionate, and grounded in somatic and holistic trauma-oriented based practices.
A Letter to the Busy and Exhausted Parent
Starting your healing journey for yourself and family may seem scary, but there’s that strong desire to attend therapy to find some relief from the pressures of life. Your schedule is filled with responsibilities and it’s hard to find the time. Family, social commitments, work, school. With passing time, there hasn’t been space to connect with yourself or your teen - “How am I doing, really? How is my child doing?” The busy schedule doesn’t leave much time to process your own emotions or how to support your teen’s emotions in their precious developing years.
It’s common to feel burnout by life’s demands, especially when your teen is struggling with their grades slipping, friendships straining, grieving a loss, performance anxiety or depression. It might be hard for them to share with you or their friends how they are really doing despite wanting the connection. How many times have you heard from your teen that they are just “doing fine” when your parent gut feels something is the matter? You have a lot of love for your child, but connecting with them is tough.
If this sounds familiar, then online teen therapy or individual therapy could be the option for you!
Online trauma therapy provides a safe, confidential, and convenient way for anyone struggling with depression and anxiety to start their healing journey from the comfort and privacy of your own space. This approach removes common barriers such as travel time, transportation issues and scheduling conflicts, making consistent support far more accessible and manageable for the busy parent and teen!
Maybe you have tried therapy before and didn’t receive what you expected. You want to try to connect with another therapist, but you don’t have the energy to vulnerably share your story again or try to explain your teen’s unexpected behavior again. Maybe something similar to this thought has occurred, “I feel like I should have a powerpoint by now to prepare for therapy.” Let me be the first to say that the pressure is off. Therapy goes at your pace. You and your teen are free to share what is on your mind - anything that is bothering you. There’s no agenda but y’alls own. If you want to talk about the hard moments of your life, we can, but there is no obligation to do so. You are the hero of your own journey.
With some guidance tailored to your unique experiences and needs, you can work through difficult emotions, process trauma, and develop effective coping strategies within a private, flexible environment that fits your lifestyle. Beginning your own or teen therapy online empowers one to take control of your mental health on your own and teen’s terms, fostering lasting relief, personal growth, and resilience.
Your family is worth the care and support! Y’all have been worth it all along!
